Rise of the White Dragon

After good start, when reader could look at it as comedy of mistakes and misunderstandings, author switched plot to another generic Chinese cultivation novel, where entire world follow cultivation laws and everyone in the world are hidden cultivation clans (Lin/Zing on Iceland). Normally, I would give it solid 3 stars, as for a generic time killer, but sadly this author is immensely hating men in general, since up until I read it, there is not even one decent man except MC, not even one! All of them, including his father, rival, grandfather, father of his love interest are human trashes, who left their families (just because) and wish to use their children for their own benefits or for perverted and criminal purposes. It so bad, that a father figure is completely shattered in this novel, to the point, that in the author eyes a full and normal family is an abomination. Also, author is obsessed with intimacy, woman superiority and s*x in general, which coupled with hatred for men and generic plot is also killing this novel and its forcing me to give it only 1 star and advise any of you who read this review to stay away from this, forgive me, but a cancer of a novel.

Feels like mixture of cultivation novel and K-novels with pros and cons of both . like knovel he has strong system and body cultivation like in Chinese novel likewise story of 'awakening is nothing new and modern timeline is easy to write as World building is 0 . like cultivation novel kids are se*ulised every girl is peerless beauty, confusing body mind soul cultivation levels . PROs_ mc is : regressior , op , rich, not stupid, gets laid , famous | towers | easy read | CONs_ no world building, no struggle, mc doing everything by self ( fight , plan , make pills, codes, run company ) as if hes perfect makes it hard to connect

I feel like the author wanted to do something but completely forgot about it so the plot ended up being predictable. Every girl is somehow and otherworldly beauty like bro what are the beauty standards in this novel.

I'm really enjoying the plot, the calm, cool protagonist for who deserves it and with a good family relationship unlike other novels I've read, and also that calm before a hurricane (in calm times before massacring your enemies).

This one I wouldn't recommend at all like it, in my opinion, is one of the worst novels I've read, and the author descriptions tired me out after a while.

The novel itself feels very generic and has very little going for it, after a while it gets really boring and predictable... As I said... Don't read this.

The plot is predictable, from the first chapter and the "room swap" all the way to the incident in the room till the chapter that I stopped reading at. The situations described in the novel feel cheesy. The choices of describing every single woman in the novel as a "otherworldly" beauty get boring. Character progress is very linear... sit down, meditate, break through, take a shower, play with the girls and repeat.
Nothing positive comes to mind when I think about this novel. Nothing good that I could highlight.

very boring, and cringe characters, it’s very hard to not cringe at some scenes, i have read the author’s other novel, and well not everyone is good at writing, also romance genre isnt suited for him.

This Ln is not for everyone, sure there are parts that are quite cringey but I myself don’t find it to be that bad. I find the plot and characters to be entertaining and although not everything is perfect I would argue that it’s not as horrible as some reviews make it out to be (or maybe it’s just that I have read much worse) and would encourage u to give it a shot.

It's been a roller coaster of writing technique, first is mainly focuses on low cultivation information dumping then swapped with multiple scenarios to let the viewers see what's happening around then now multiple POV technique but yeah, this novel never bores me to skip the chapters and kust read the good ones.

This really ticks about every mark you can think of when you try to take the average- ness of every other light novel here and put it together. Really boring
